Greater Milwaukee CROP Walk

The Greater Milwaukee CROP (Christian Rural Overseas Program) Walk is sponsored by Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee. Now in it’s 20th year here, our CROP Walk consistently ranks as one of the top ten CROP Walks (in terms of funds raised) in the nation. Last year, thousands of walkers from more than 150 Milwaukee congregations raised over $62,000 for Church World Service and collected more than eight tons of food for the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee.

You can be a part of this year’s CROP Walk by walking, donating food, or by sponsoring walkers from our congregation. The Greater Milwaukee CROP WALK is one of some 2,000 interfaith, community CROP WALKS taking place around the country this year under the theme "You can make a difference."

When you CROPWALK, you're:

Africa is one part of the world where CROP WALKS are making a big difference -- in helping people grow food for their families, in providing clean water to villages, in the struggle against the AIDS epidemic, and in countless other ways.

Many CROPWALKERS this year will be wearing T-shirts depicting some of the ways they are helping to make a difference -- with assistance for uprooted families around the world... with water resource development efforts across Africa... with the more than 3,200 local food pantries, food banks, and meal sites in the United States who are providing food to neighbors in need.

This year’s Crop Walk will be held downtown on October 9 at 1:30 p.m. It start at and is a 10k (6 mile) walk through downtown Milwaukee. If you haven’t signed up already, please sign up in the Friendship Room after services.
