Sunday School

Sunday School for all ages (3-103) meets from 9:30a - 10:30a from Labor day through Memorial day.

For grades K-6, we use professionally developed curriculum from Cokesbury entitled Live B.I.G (Belief In God). Live B.I.G. is an exciting new approach to Sunday school! It helps children see, hear, and live their Belief In God. Short video segments bring faith-filled, high-energy excitement to children with characters who are role models, travel segments to churches and missions around the country, cool music, and more. Easy-to-use lesson plans help teachers prepare well-balanced lessons.

It’s more than just a Sunday school lesson. Live B.I.G. reaches children with cutting-edge teaching tools. The multifaceted lessons help kids grow as children of God and take what they learn from Sunday school into their everyday lives. Learn more at iLiveBIG.com.

Junior High youth will relate the Bible and the messages of the Christian faith to their lives today and to the events that are shaping today's world.

Senior High youth will discuss the ethical imperatives for teens and for all Christians. They will look more deeply into their beliefs and understanding of their role in the larger world.

The Adult 1 Class is led by Charlene W. The group is studying "The Power of Forgivness" which explores this important work and reveals how forgiveness can transform your life. Meet in Room L28 (lover level, west wing). Coffee and Refreshments are served.

The Adult 2 Class is lead by Oliver C. Starting in January 2010, there will be a discussion out of the book: "Yes, Lord, I Have Sinned, But I Have Several Excellent Excuses."  By James W. Moore. We will be working out of this book for 12 weeks, possibly taking a short break for Lent to discuss the last few weeks prior to the Crucifixion.  Then we will return to it to finish the 12 weeks. Meet in room U22 (upstairs, near the bathrooms).

Confirmation

The class prepares young teens to be active and growing members of the church. You must be in 7th, 8th or 9th grade for confirmation. Those wishing to come for fellowship and service should be in 7th or 8th grade.
