Membership

Membership classes are held on a regular basis. The membership session consists of four one and a half hour classes. During the first three classes, prospective members will learn about the United Methodist faith and about our local congregation. The fourth class is a pot luck dinner in which the prospective members meet their "fellowship friends". A fellowship friend is a person chosen to help the new member become acclimated with the church and congregation.

People may join by confession of faith if they have not previously held membership in a Christian Church; by reaffirmation of faith if previous church membership has lapsed; by transfer from another denomination or branch of Christianity or from another United Methodist congregation. Those below high school age who have not been confirmed join a two year confirmation class that meets from September through May each year. All people joining the church must be baptized if they have not previously been baptized. Baptism from any Christian branch or denomination is valid.

Upon completion of the last class, if you desire, you can participate in a church service where you can become a member of the congregation. If you are interested in becoming a member of this church, please contact Pastor Armstrong or the church office, to find out the next scheduled class date.
