Each year, many people from our church participate in mission trips around the world. When possible, we'll post reports and information about them here.
2007
Sr. High: Gulf Coast, MI near Biloxi. The Youth witnessed a first hand view of the damages still left after Hurricane Katrina. Their work consisted of mainly painting and scraping for the first two days and interacting with the children of the community for the other two days. They stayed in D'Iberville High School where the Youthworks leaders took care of them
Jr. High: Mountain TOP (Tennessee Outreach Project)

Sr. High: Rosebud, South Dakota. The Sr. High Youth took a 750 mile trip by car to the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota where they stayed for 5 days to help the Native American community. Most of the Youth scraped and painted houses for two days and interacted with some of the children of the community for the other two days.

Jr. High: Mountain TOP (Tennessee Outreach Project)
2002
Adult: Midwest Distribution Center, IL. Read the report from this trip from May. This is the facility that sorts the "kits" donated for missions. It can be a 3-5 day trip. The center checks each item making sure that the kit is put together with the correct items. It sounds like a hands-on-not-back-breaking mission. There is also a the possibility of working on home re-hab and construction for anyone interested in a more vigorous experience. The center is located 5 hours south of Oak Creek. Housing is available at the facility.
