A strength of Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church is our music ministry for all ages. Soloists and groups are welcome to share their gift of music and are welcome to play or sing during services at any time of the year. We especially need musicians and singers during the summer months when our choirs are on break. Contact Shelly Swodzinski for more information.
The Altar Choir welcomes adults and youth in grade seven or higher to join in praising God during traditional worship services. Reading music is not required; you only need to desire to sing and grow in fellowship with others. The Altar Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings and alternates singing at 8 am and 10:45 am services. Contact Shelly Swodzinski for more information.
This contemporary Christian praise group is for people interested in praising God and leading contemporary worship service. Singers and musicians are welcome. Reach Out practices on Monday evenings and performs twice monthly at the 10:45 am service. Contact Steve Dillon for more information.
Children’s Choir and Little Lambs
Children begin singing at age three in the Little Lambs choir for the preschool and kindergarten Sunday School classes. Children in grades first through sixth are invited to join the Children’s Choir which sings approximately once a month at late service during the school year. The goals of these choirs are to teach the children how to praise through song and make singing in church fun. Contact the church office for more information.
Our Bell Choir is a wonderful addition to our traditional worship services. No prior experience is necessary and you not need to read music to participate. Senior high and adults are welcome. Contact Chris Hunter for more information.
