Going to Pieces

The stack of quilts above were shipped to Odessa, Ukraine and received by some of the smaller out lying village women. The women pictured below are widows who do not have a way to chop wood for their stove which heats their homes. So they must wait for neighborly kindness and someone's thoughtfulness for help. The extra warmth from the quilts provided by our "Going to Pieces" mission was well appreciated. Tradition says not to smile for pictures, however this picture still "says a thousand words".

If you would like to join us in making quilts for yourself, friends, relatives, this mission or one of the other missions that we do, please join us on the fourth Saturday of the month. We meet in Doyle Hall at 9 a.m. We bring food for a "potluck" lunch and finish about 2 p.m. The times are approximate, you can come and go as you wish. The talent level is varied from beginners to accomplished. The fun is always present....won't you be present too?
