Worship

Worship

From September to May, we invite you to worship with us at one of our Sunday services:

8:00 am Traditional Worship Service

10:45 am Blended Family Service (Children’s Church offered during the school year)

All services are approximately 1 hour long.

From Memorial Day though Labor Day we have 1 Sunday service at 9:30 am. There will be special music from our Choirs and individuals throughout the summer.

Our church is air conditioned and wheelchair accessible, including an elevator.

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. In keeping with United Methodist tradition, "all who intend to lead a Christian life, together with their children, are invited to receive the bread and cup." That is, anyone of any age who desires to commune with God is invited to receive communion.

Sunday School is offered for all ages from 9:30 – 10:30 am from September through May. Free Nursery Care is available for children ages five and under.

Becoming a Member

Looking to join the church? New Member Classes are a great way to be introduced into the Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church and all that is offered here. Even if you have been a member of a UMC in the past, we ask that you still participate in the classes here to get familiar with our small groups, fellowship opportunities, Sunday School classes, and other educational programs. Please contact the church office for more information and dates.

Marriages

Couples wishing to be married at Oak Creek Community United Methodist Church should contact Pastor Sue D'Alessio at (414) 762-4600 ext 2. Traditionally, four to six premarital counseling sessions are expected. Please see our Weddings brochure for additional information and schedule of fees.

Baptisms

Through baptism, we celebrate and connect with our identity as people for whom Jesus Christ lived, died, and was resurrected. Baptism is a sign of our identity and our destiny in and through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a sign of God’s claim upon us and is a rite of passage into the family of God, the church. The administration of the baptismal sacrament can be done two ways: pouring and immersion. Persons of all ages are baptized, including infants. To learn more about arranging a baptism, please contact Pastor Sue D'Alessio at (414) 762-4600 ext 2. Learn more about baptisms here.

Funerals

When a loved one passes away, your church offers you and your family prayer and support, along with the opportunity to praise God for the life you have known and now hold dear in your hearts.  To make funeral arrangements, please contact Pastor Sue D'Alessio at (414) 762-4600 ext 2. Pre-planning of funerals is also welcome and your pastor will be glad to assist you in that process.
